Nothing is More Precious...

Cannon is 19 days old today and we cannot believe it! As we were eating dinner, Brian and I were both saying how we cannot believe how big he's getting. He is nursing very well and I must say that he enjoys drinking, even though I have to keep bothering him to keep him awake. :) It's so precious to watch him each day and even more precious to hold and kiss him. I never knew I'd love someone so much!

Dr. Keeton, Cannon, and Me

Dr. Keeton, my OB-GYN was more than wonderful during the labor and delivery! She even encouraged Brian to stay in the delivery room when Cannon was entering the world! Brian took her advice and Dr. Keeton made arrangements to make Brian as comfy as possible--even giving him a "barf bag" just in case. Brian was the most supportive labor coach and at the end, he turned his chair to face the wall behind me so he could stay in the room and encourage me, hold my hand, push the hair off of my face and ultimately be there when our son took his first breath.

Welcome to the World!

Our Little Glow Worm....

The funny thing about the "Bili-Bee" was that he looked like a little glow worm! We think he liked wearing it since is gave off some warmth. It was a little bit difficult burping him but it is a wonderful invention! It was portable, too, which meant he could literally be on it 24/7 so the jaundice would clear up as quickly as possible. Andy, the man that brought it to our house was a true Godsend. He talked with Brian, my mom, and I very calmly and even prayed for Cannon before he left. He said that his three young children ask him every day..."Daddy, how many babies did you help today?" At any rate, we know that God was in total control during those scary days and He is in control now!

First Day on the Job with Mommy...

Cannon went to work with me this past Wednesday (he was 12 days old) so he could meet some of the special people in my office that love him so much! I made sure no one was sick though. I dressed him in this precious outfit that Lauren gave to him. Brian's Aunt and cousin gave Cannon these precious shoes!

Cannon's Arrival....

I cannot put my fingers on the words to adequately express the feelings that Brian and I have for our son.....God has richly blessed us beyone belief! Every time I look at Cannon, I am in awe and keep thanking our Heavenly Father for this little blessing and want to cherish every minute with him!

William Cannon arrived on Friday January 9th at 6:39 pm. He was 20 .5 inches long and 7 lbs. 15oz. Praise God that he is healthy! He had to wear a Biliruben light for his jaundice for three days right after we came home, and Brian and I were really scared. Plus, we had to take him to get his heel pricked each time (which broke our hearts!) Thankfully, it's all cleared up now!
